The Chairman had received a letter from Lionel Fynn asking to be updated as to our meetings as his membership had lapsed a couple of years ago. Letter handed to Secretary to forward details. Nothing else to report other than to thank Shirley Head for stepping in to do the teas at the January meeting. Flyers for March meeting were handed out.

2. May's AGM is to be followed by speaker Roger Koerner who will be talking about his experiences as an RAE navigator on Canberras. No aids required oilier than to source a flipchart.

3. Next years Programme is now complete and is as follows:-

Wed Sept 6 2006. Paddy Carver "Life on a wing" - This speaker has had a wide and varied life in aviation but will be concentrating on his time with BOAC for our talk.

6. REPORT OF THE SECRETARY

1. The Secretary had some thoughts on die upeonung Aviation History day on April 9th namely:-

The selling of members unwanted books has been arranged through the newsletter.

The society 'boards' may need a tidy-up which Prne and Dave agreed to have a look at.

Add some photos of our meeting, ( Secretary to take pics at March meeting).

Flyers with next year's programme etc. and any other items we may want to display.

2. Secretary also announced that he is intending to stand down at the end of his second term in May.

7. ANY OTHER BUSINESS

1. The Website - John Brown has found one Stephen Bishop who is a member and a 'webmaster' who has agreed to look after a website for us. There was a general discussion as to the merits of having a website and it was agreed that the pros outweighed the doubts if only to attract a younger memhership. John was asked to quiz Stephen Bishop further as to costs etc. and further discussion would be needed as to content and layout.

2. Member Bill Woolen has passed a contact number for a speaker about 'Thrust 2 and the history and speed record attempts' to John Brown for use on short notice should we be let down at the last minute.

3. John Brown also threw the floor open to thoughts on summer visits, Yeovilton (done by RAeNS already) Salisbury Hall and Shuttleworth evening display (how late do we get back?) or a return to Tangmere (after a three of four year break) were muted.
